"A little intelligence goes a long way"
Johnny English, the unlikely secret agent in the British Secret Service, is once again called upon. After his latest vicissitudes, MI-7's Johnny English has honed his skills in a remote Asian area. But when his executives learn of an attempted assassination of the Chinese president, which will cause world chaos, they immediately search for their unorthodox agent. Johnny must once again pilot high-tech gadgets to unravel a web of trickery and deception involving MI-7, the CIA and the KGB.

Volume 1 excelled in its fresh approach to the James Bond films. This part seems to take itself more seriously and is therefore less smooth. Atkinson remains fun in his role, but the cast around him has not exactly improved.
The jokes are again very bland. Nice opening, but then you've had it with the fun. Visually, the film is certainly a bit better than 1, but that doesn't even apply in these kinds of films. Everything is just a little less here.
Atkinson himself doesn't seem stupid anymore in what he does, and that takes the fun away a bit. Not bad for the rest, but yeah. I don't think part 3 will be any better. We'll see, but I think it will take a while.

Okay this video. By no means every joke hits, especially not because Atkinson is a comedian for a certain, especially bumbling humor. At those times he is at his best, but at other times he just misses it. Also, some jokes are too predictable or too made to get to that joke. But overall quite entertaining. Movie looked easy, some funny locations and Pike is nice in her role. 3.0*.

Nice looking comedy. The story is pretty thin, but that's okay with these kind of movies. Atkinson was able to give me a big smile several times.
