Today's London... The contact-obsessed, extremely dull Secretary of State, Simon Foster (Tom Hollander), has caused a stir in the media, much to the anger of his superiors, by accidentally broadcasting a possible attack on the Middle East. East to reveal. To repair the damage, the ruthless, hysterical "spider doctor" Malcolm Tucker (Peter Capaldi) arrives, who immediately sends Foster on a "question the facts" trip to Washington. Foster suddenly finds himself in an anarchic world of peace activists, war buffs, infantile bureaucrats and annoying interns. From Northampton to the “West Wing” in Washington and it only gets worse…

Pff incredibly ad rem .., wonderful dialogue duels with the highlights between Malcolm and the general. Also nice when they walk around in the hallways with the Americans, suckers
The hyperactive intro took some getting used to, but afterwards I enjoyed all the characters and whoever is in control, very high joke density. It was also over before I knew it despite the more than an hour and a half, but 4 * I think is just too much for this trick.

Political farce at breakneck speed. At times difficult to follow the razor-sharp dialogues. And that's a bit of a shame, because it's mainly the dialogues that have to provide the comic effects. I had a good time.

I didn't really like it that much. Had to laugh a few times, but that was it. I didn't always find it that exciting. Mediocre.
