Dream Scenario plot
"Meet the man of your dreams."
A wimpy and unremarkable academic lives a life that never really paid off. He suddenly becomes a celebrity after appearing in everyone's dream on Earth. As the professor enjoys his newfound fame over the next few days, sinister matters begin to emerge that haunt his own dreams and lead him down a nightmarish path.

Interesting film, special story.
A film that you cannot easily compare with other films, but I think of the films of Charlie Kaufman and Quentin Dupieux.
Nicolas Cage plays very well indeed, he turns into a very believable, neurotic professor. I didn't find the film really funny, it is more of a black comedy or has a satirical view of the empty, commercial society and has to do with the obsession with becoming famous.
Nicolas Cage simply chooses good roles and interesting films and does an excellent job.

Cage is really fantastic in this movie.
From the moment Paul goes into the cellar (and not to sign), I think the film does the same. It's also possible that I just didn't understand him. I'm just going to assume that everything from then on is a (his) dream.
I actually didn't find it very satisfying. Because I blame my own inability to understand this film, I keep it at a very decent 3.5; everything before that moment is sufficient for that.
By the way, I did have a high Malkovich feeling during this film, even though there is not necessarily a link in terms of story. A good reason to watch this again.
