Crocodile Dundee II plot

"The world's favourite adventurer is back for more! much more!"

Crocodile Dundee sees everything through rose-colored glasses. He lives with the handsome journalist Sue and enjoys the possibilities that the big city of Manhattan has to offer. But the fairytale comes to an end when Sue is taken hostage by drug dealers. They are apparently looking for incriminating photos that Sue received from her ex-husband. With the help of LeRoy Brown and a New York street gang, Dundee manages to free his lover. They decide to take a breather in Australia, but they don't get much rest there.

Still lame and silly, just like the first part. That Mick Dundee remains a terrible dry ass, so dry ass it's not funny. In this film, he and Sue take on a Colombian drug gang (where you can spot Luis Guzman's bakers, among others!). First in New York, then in Australia, where many Home Alone-like scenes follow one another. Not really my idea of fun humor.

I haven't seen the infectious humor from the first film here. The first part in New York I thought the film was good and still worked properly. The whole piece in Australia was a toothache. How easy it is for Colombians to find Mick and girlfriend in Australia (!). And then there's almost nothing left to enjoy for the rest of the film. Kozlowski also limits himself to laughing sheepishly and looking up to the great hero romantically. She didn't really have much to do. Hogan was not too bad for me but he too started to become an annoying cliché towards the end.

A completely unnecessary second part that has nothing more to bring than a very sad cast of supporting roles, a difficult story and a lot of repetition of moves. Let me leave it at that.
