Sixteen-year-old virgin Mo grows up in a boring village. He is far from growing up and has a lot of fun with his best friend Zeke. The latter is a charismatic high school dropout who has a big, but especially bad, influence on Mo. This is not without consequences.

The film is about a tattooed dropout who drinks pot and can't hold down a job dealing with a much younger, decent inexperienced boy who looks up to him. It is not clear why they actually interact with each other because the age difference is large. Although it is about drugs and drinking and losers, it remains a very enjoyable film. Older Zeke always remains friendly. The film looks nice. Not a standard high school movie

This is a very surprisingly good movie. The actors play very well and are looking forward to it.
It's more of a drama/comedy. It's fun to see. An older boy who doesn't take life so seriously is friends with a younger boy who is discovering life. This creates fun and less fun situations. Go see it if you are open to a beautifully subdued special story.

Pete Davidson is most fun when he's just playing Pete Davidson. Here it is as hopeless loser Zeke who, as a 'big brother', takes care of a teenage boy. Maybe it's not the best idea for him to teach the boy how to smoke pot, how to deal and initiate his first sexual experiences. But on the other hand, the nerdy Monroe (Griffin Gluck) does come out of his shell when he crosses his own boundaries. It even brings him his first girlfriend. Monroe gets the best lessons from Zeke's girlfriend Holly (Sydney Sweeney) when she teaches him to look beyond his own needs. Behind the deliciously bad obscenities in 'Big Time Adolescence' (2019) is a good film about taking responsibility and not hurting your loved ones.
