“Love isn't just a feeling. It's shaving your balls.”

A nice third Pie adventure but a bit less than the first two parts. The humor must come too much from Stifler alone and although Scott is back on track, he can't do it alone. That's not to say that this part isn't entertaining, because even around a wedding, there's still plenty to laugh about for our friends who just don't want to grow up.

Biggs and Hannigan are fun together and of course Biggs is another hero in physical humor. And it's always a pleasure to watch Eugene Levy act as Jim's dad. January Jones is beautiful as Hannigan's sister, but she gets little to do and really only has to act as a love interest for Scottt and Kaye Thomas. Scott, Kaye Thomas and their eternal battle over Stifler's mom is still fun. American Wedding is a nice sequel with the same coarse, adolescent but oh so nice humor.

More of the same.

Nice for people who like this series, less so for the rest. I don't think I have much of a sense of humor like this. They make frantic attempts to milk embarrassing situations, but it feels very easy and the cast doesn't immediately have the comedic talent to really make something of it. And then those scenes just last very long.

And so you're watching a third part which is really just a breakdown of the previous two. The characters have become a bit more mature and the actors are now feeling a bit better, on the other hand it has become so predictable and known that the surprise has long since worn off. What happens still doesn't interest me at all, it's rarely funny.

It really amazes me that so many parts were made of this, also that the sequels were apparently also liked over and over again. One every so often is not a complete punishment, they are those films that are easy to look away and therefore easily turn on, but afterwards there is mainly disappointment.

1.5*

Pie 3.

The last Pie I had to see to finally catch up with the series. I know there is now a part 9, but it doesn't seem to tie in with the series, just like a lot of other parts for that matter. Often the surname Stifler is a bit of the common thread in the film series.

Wedding is on a par with a lot of other Pie movies. The earlier parts with Biggs & Hannigan are a bit more subtle than the spin-offs, but still have enough sexual and vulgar jokes that regularly miss the mark with me. Some nice moments are hidden here and there, but as a whole it doesn't stay too funny.

The jokes aren't more vulgar or sexual than in previous installments, but for the fan of dirty and filthy Pie humor, there's still plenty to enjoy. For me it's not much funnier than previous or later parts. It is mainly fast entertainment that does not last too long.

Acting is okay. The crew members always seem to like it. Scott is in full swing again but Stifler is not my favorite character in the series. Biggs and Hannigan are also having a good time, but Jones seemed to be just a little too nervous. Levy is really too good for this kind of role (I keep repeating it), but he seems to be enjoying it most of all, so oh well.

Fun and fast entertainment, but not very funny for me. Knowing that the level of American Pie films can go very far, this is an even better part in the series. Jokes don't catch on too much, but if it's funny it's mainly because of the surrender of the cast. There were no tiring moments, so it gets the same grade as a lot of other Pie movies. Nice for once, then you can forget it again.
