A Slight Case of Murder plot
"High finance teaches a racketeer new tactics!"
After Prohibition ends, mobster Remy Marco (Edward G. Robinson) wants to become a respectable citizen by continuing as a legal brewer. But because nobody dares to tell him that his beer is not drinkable, bankruptcy is looming. That doesn't stop the always optimistic Marco from moving into his summer residence where he receives a number of guests: an 'orphan-of-the-year' who can stay with him during the summer, his future son-in-law and his family. That in addition to the corpses of a number of gangsters, who are hidden in the house.
