The Romantic Englishwoman plot
When writer Lewis Fieldings gets writer's block, he starts a film script about a woman who finds herself after his own wife returns from Baden Baden. Although she did not find herself, she did meet a German poet there. Once home, the poet comes to England and claims to be a big fan of Lewis. The writer is so amused by the poet's confusion that he and the woman are married, that his writer's block disappears and he works the poet into his plot.
