Judge Annibale Salvemini opens an investigation into a classic Italian case involving business, politics and corruption. As usual, he is completely absorbed in his work. He orders numerous arrests. But the reaction of counterparts is not long in coming. In fact, his harsh methods inadvertently drive him to the opposite situation. Who is really to blame: the judge or the corrupt Italian society?
