The Magic Carpet plot
In an Arab province, Caliph Omar and his wife Queen Yasmina prepare for the official announcement that their son Ramoth will be the future heir to the throne. The preparations are violently disrupted by Ali, a member of the high council, and his henchman Boreg who murder Caliph Omar. Boreg chases after Yasmina and Ramoth, but Yasmina manages to put Ramoth on a magic carpet and sends him to her uncle Ahkmid. Yasmina is also killed in the attack. Ali appoints himself Caliph and together with his sister Narah and right-hand man Boreg he starts a real reign of terror among the population.
