I thought it was about time for a review of the entire trilogy. It's been a few years now so it's really high time again. To get into the mood, I usually watch them around Christmas, which is the ideal time for me.

Even though it is already known by now what is to come, some scenes you even know inside and out, it remains unimaginable that a film can be so captivating. From the first second to the last it is exciting, funny, breathtaking or moving. Nothing but praise for Jackson, even though the film may look a bit dated in some scenes.

The music is one of the film's strong points. A soundtrack that is definitely in my top three as far as I'm concerned.

The amazing locations that the film visits are also breathtaking. Middle-earth looks fascinating, even such a final scene in the forest is beautiful. Still, the caves of Moria always stay with me the most, that scene is my favorite from this first part.

I've seen the film so many times by now that I don't really pay attention to the acting of the cast. They are so inextricably linked to these films that I don't mind a less strong dialogue at all.

Frodo is of course the pivot around which everything revolves, but as far as I'm concerned Elijah Wood is doing just fine.

Even after the umpteenth revision, the film remains on the full score. What a movie..

I thought it was such a bad movie that while watching it I wanted to buy such a sword and stab it through myself.
