The Devil-Ship Pirates plot
"A Hot-Blooded Crew of Cut-Throats!"
1588. A pirate ship fighting on the side of the Spanish armada is badly damaged during a battle with Englishmen. In order to continue sailing, they will have to repair the ship, on the British coast. The village where they dock is very small and virtually cut off from the outside world. The Spanish pirates take advantage of this by telling the locals that the English have been defeated and that they are now in charge of Britain. At first the villagers are very docile, but when rumors circulate that the Spaniards have lied, a revolt breaks out.
