Trailing the Killer plot
The trapper Pierre LaPlant lives with his dog Lobo, who is partly descended from the wolf. Lobo is found near dead and mutilated sheep by sheep farmers and they conclude that Lobo is the culprit. They threaten to kill Lobo, but Pierre defends Lobo. Lobo attacks one of the sheep farmers after the latter points his gun at him, but the man escapes and vows revenge on the dog. Then one of the sheep farmers' dogs falls prey to a puma and Lobo gives chase. Pierre follows Lobo and a little later finds him with a dead sheep. Pierre prepares to kill Lobo because he now believes he also knows that Lobo killed the sheep.
