American Siege plot

"No one walks away."

Sheriff Ben Watts (Bruce Willis) knows all the ins and outs of Fitzgerald, a quiet town in the south of the US state of Georgia. When prominent doctor John Keats is taken hostage, it is up to Watts to resolve the situation. But Mayor Routledge puts such pressure on him to use violence against the hostage takers that Watts suspects there is more going on. While his loyalty is tested, Routledge enlists ex-soldier Silas to push through his bloody plan.

With the knowledge that Bruce Willis suffers from a very annoying disease that makes it impossible to speak normally, you look at this film very differently. Bruce, as in many of his latest films, has a minor role and he actually does his best here. There are strange silences in the scenes with Bruce at the beginning of the film, as if he has to read his text from paper first, which he probably does.

Then the rest of the movie: a bus full of B-actors play an incredibly strange story about some kind of hostage situation. And with the plot twist, the far-fetched story gets even more laughable. But fair is fair, there is plenty of blasting with guns and other explosives. The film picks up some momentum and doesn't last too long anyway, so it's pretty good to sit through. I'd rather watch this than "Farmer Wants a Wife" and Bruce Willis will always be a hero to me!

In a small Georgia town, respected doctor John Geats [Cullen G. Chambers] is taken hostage by a group led by Roy Lambert [Rob Gough]. It's up to Sheriff Ben Watts [Bruce Willis] to end the hostage situation, but when he discovers the reason for the hostage situation, he suspects other stakeholders are involved, including the powerful Charles Rutledge [Timothy V. Murphy] who has something to hide. Dubious accents, chaotic camera work and messy shootings in another poorly written standard thriller that Willis has had a patent on for years.
