“Water is wet, the sky is blue, women have secrets. Who gives a fuck?”

Great 90s action stunner. Bruce Willis, wonderful one-liners, some not too politically correct comments, rock-solid action scenes, a wafer-thin story, etc. These kind of unpretentious action films are hardly made anymore. The Last Boy Scout also has excellent bad guys with Willingham and Coates, and Wayans and Harris (as daughter of Willis) give Willis a good counteract. Don't think too much, and just enjoy an action movie that feels almost prehistoric.

“Ask me how fat she is.”
"Fuck you man!...How fat is she?"

If even the pimp-looking motherfucker with a hat[/i] can't resist hearing Bruce make one more joke, then the viewer will be happy with the full-length of this film, who doesn't hesitate to (almost) remove all unnecessary ballast from the ultimate action comedy.

Biggest treat has to be the chemistry between Wayans and Willis, both equally cool-headed and adept at ad-rem cynicism. Any emotional element is swallowed pretty quickly, only to squeak out another one-liner (Wayans) or growl (Willis) with the next breath.

No nonsense story, good pace and even though not every joke works equally well; when a murder attempt is foiled by a football, you know you don't have to take it too seriously. Willis explains it quite meta to Wayans at the end. Amusing. I'll leave that 3.5* for a while.

The last boy scout is definitely one of the better Bruce Willis movies.

His so-called daughter in this movie is cute and quite cheeky,

Bruce Willis is humorous and this role suits him very well.

I still have The Last Boy Scout on DVD

nothing can be done about the fact that more and more streaming services are coming,

and DVDs lose out I notice.

By that I mean that it seems like an era is coming to an end, the DVDs.

Nice little role for Halle Berry by the way.
