“Can't you just be a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man?”

Enjoyed this new Spiderman movie. Tom Holland is perfectly cast as Peter Parker and carries this great blockbuster effortlessly on his shoulders. Peter Parker is really a kid here who, in addition to being the crime-fighter, also just goes to school and has girl problems. Other big pluses are actors like Keaton (as the Vulture), Tomei, Zendaya, Downey Jr and Favreau, the action scenes and the music.

RDJ isn't too big a part and Paltrow's cameo is actually his funniest scene. Keaton is the best superhero bad guy in a long time and the special effects (with the nighttime images of New York) are outstanding. Negatives are the humor, some corny dialogues, the younger actors (outside Holland and Zendaya) and their poorly developed characters. Zendaya is fun and is going to put a great miss MJ Watson in the next films , but the other young actors don't add much or are annoying. Especially Batalon as Ned makes little impression and his humorous scenes were painfully unfunny. But hopefully those are things that will be adjusted in the next movies. Because this Spidey movie leaves you wanting more.

ugh.

The last week to a Marvel catching up, but this one too. I still saw from Sony, but apparently there is now an agreement with Disney to also involve Spiderman more with the rest. The net result is that Downey Jr can also earn a little extra.

The movie itself...as if Nickelodeon got their hands on the rights. It's like children's TV with an uncomfortably high budget. Holland is completely insufferable, that fat boy who keeps walking with him if possible even worse. His school problems were not interesting at all. Gone are the days when I used to watch Saved by the Bell every week.

A lot of sighs at the completely misplaced humor, furthermore it is a very long wait until this tragic session is over. Actors are lousy, the bad guy is again a complete softie (and of course someone who knows Parker again), action scenes are dull. How this one gets into a "highest rated on RT" list is a complete mystery to me. Also immediately indicates the seriousness of such sites.

The level of Marvel is not very high, but Sony makes it very furious. broke.

0.5*

That brunette from Cagney & Lacey has also risen from the dead, I saw.

This time, Spider-Man/Peter Parker is one of those overconfident cuteface who is constantly whining, "I'm sick of people treating me like a kid all the time!" Such a brilliant child who once again looks typically American, in a sweater and then a checkered blouse underneath.

Does he have a chat with the shopkeeper, the shopkeeper says: 'So how's school?'

"It's boring, got better things to do."

"Stay in school, kid. Otherwise, you're gonna end up like me.'

Excuse me? Is there something wrong with that, with having a shop? Fucking Americans.

You never see those superheroes come to the rescue in some poor country, it's always in that godforsaken America.

That fat boyfriend that strolls around it all the time and thinks his friend is absolutely great of course. Such a goofy friend that follows you everywhere and also jumps into the water when you jump into the water.

Well, I was still positive about one thing: the cat Murphy, 4 seconds in the picture.

It also takes way too long for a children's film.
