Entertaining film, a bit cliché, but it is not boring at all. One of the few simple action thrillers that doesn't seem outdated at all (apart from the wrong music, bad haircuts and really big glasses. )Hauer also has the ideal head to play a 'Wulfgar'.

Seen the new German master and what a joy a revision can be. Nighthawks continues to be a demonstration of frugality in its most beautiful form. Cult directing as it should be, vintage 80's, close up camera shots of tight faces, Hauer visibly enjoying one of his best roles abroad, Stallone as Serpico. What does a man want more.

Mediocre.

Sylvester Stallone is still doing quite well for his sake, but can't take the film to a higher level. He can't really be blamed either, because it's just a dead thing. A typical product of its time - even more of a 70s than an 80s vibe -, which always pleases me.

But there is no tension for a single moment and so it actually ripples quite anonymously to a wrong but bland finale. Until then, the action wasn't much, so you can expect such an ending.

I would say: for the fans of Stallone or Rutger Hauer. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend this movie.
