2 Fast 2 Furious plot

"How fast do you like it?"

Brian O'Connor, a disgraced cop, pays a heavy price for his speed addiction. As far as his bosses think, the hothead screwed up one of the biggest undercover operations ever. After losing his badge, O'Connor now has one last chance. Miami police urgently need his help to arrest Carter Verone, a flashy businessman who uses his import and export business to launder money. O'Connor accepts the offer, on the condition that he is allowed to ride with his childhood friend Roman Pearce, who, like him, is obsessed with fast cars.

Fewer.

Still a fun part. What is unfortunate is that it has certainly deteriorated in terms of effects. Then give me the Cohen movie. Especially when the cars accelerate, you can clearly see that this film is a bit dated.

The lack of Diesel is indeed remarkable. He later became the face of the series together with Walker. Until his death then.. The cars still look very cool. Nice sounds of the engines of course, and Ludacris is also a funny character.

Again, the story is quite thin. The duo Gibson and Walker immediately reminded me of Smith and Lawrence in Bad Boys. The rippling but entertaining duo I'll say. A clearly less part than part 1, but still a film that looks good.

Brian O'Connor enlists the help of his former partner-in-crime Roman Pearce [Tyrese Gibson] as a driver to infiltrate the group of confidants of Carter Verone [Cole Hauser] , a master criminal against whom the police need concrete evidence to successfully prosecute him. Virtually race or pursuit is mounted in the same unimaginative way: endless shifting, clutching/accelerating, interspersed with ever-humming engines and squeaking tires. The final makes up for something, but not much. The bland humor is the death knell for this very feeble sequel to The Fast and the Furious, is strikingly sexist and leans despite the direction of John Singleton (Boyz n the Hood, Shaft ) too much on racist stereotypes. Gibson is not an alternative to Vin Diesel.
