Joseph: King of Dreams plot
Joseph, one of Jacob's twelve sons, is left in a well one day. A few days later he is taken as a slave to Egypt. In a vision he sees that Egypt is going to be hit by a famine and reports this to the pharaoh.

Very mediocre. Cheap animation that only becomes slightly different in dreams. Not necessarily beautiful, but it is nicely done in a style reminiscent of Van Gogh. Short film that feels more like a summary of a long story than a full-fledged film. It's all very flat and static and the film doesn't hold any interest. 1.0*.

I watched this movie and it wasn't bad. I didn't know the story, so it was surprising to me. The drawing style was beautiful, although you could see that 3D was still in its infancy.
The songs weren't that wow, but they were doable.

"Despite the noticeable narrative and visual limitations of a straight-to-DVD budget and a relatively short running time, when you give it a chance, 'Joseph: King of Dreams' possesses more potential, soul and truth than initially anticipated. Admittedly, the The rather brief presentation leaves the exploration of the emotional depths and lessons within the story somewhat underexposed and the animation and screenplay fall short. Still, the film proves to be entertaining and worthy of a live-action adaptation."
Just a 6.5/10 from me. One that I watched a lot during my youth, and whose value I had somewhat forgotten. The lessons in this film are amazingly mature and it leaves me imagining what a more mature approach in live-action form could do to breathe life back into this story.
