It remains amazing that the Beatles sang about a yellow submarine. And equally wonderful and psychedelic is the film named after it. The imaginative animation flies in all directions with fun finds. However, the animation is so ugly and occasionally very tiring due to stroboscopic effects. There is hardly any story and the jokes are of a dull level. Of course, that only leaves the songs themselves, which are fun!

I've never really been a fan of the Beatles and never will be, although they made some nice music, with a few good standouts.
I really didn't like this animated film at all. I didn't find the story very interesting, but the animation is really ugly. Terribly ugly colors that clash enormously with each other. Extremely lame jokes that were never funny and the whole LSD thing is just a bit part of it.
Ultimately glad it was over. It all took a very long time. Even the music started to disappoint me at a certain point. Really only recommended for the ultimate Beatles fan. For me, though, it's the worst movie in a long time.
