"The truth will break your heart."
Mizore and Nozomi are best friends in their final year of school. Both are obsessed with their school's brass band club. With Mizore on the oboe and Nozomi on the flute, they spend their days in happiness, until the club starts practicing songs inspired by the fairy tale of 'Liz and the Blue Bird'. Immersed in this story, Mizore and Nozomi begin to see that maybe there is no such thing as being together forever.

Very nice.
Yamada leaves the melancholy drama for what it is and makes this lighter snack. Although I can't really call it a snack, because it is really too unique for that. Only it was a bit too soft and sweet, with a little too much piano strumming.
But in terms of animation it is really beautiful. Beautiful character designs and some more experimental styles that are very nicely designed. Most of it is in line with the typical anime look, but the execution is still several levels better than what we normally see.
The story is nice, but it deserved a little more spice. The link with the fairy tale was also not necessary for me, it would have been more fun if they had just focused on the drama itself. But otherwise definitely worth it, especially for those who care about animation. Although you have to be able to tolerate testosterone levels reaching absolute zero.
