The Claim plot
"Everything has a price."
California, 1849. During the gold rush, prospector Daniel Dillon trades his wife Elena and daughter Hope with fellow gold miner Burn. Dillon thus gains possession of Burn's gold mine. But nearly 20 years later, when he's richer than he's ever dreamed of, Dillon is not only visited by surveyors in his small town of Kingdom Come for the possible construction of a railway line that will make him even richer, but also by his daughter Hope. and his now seriously ill wife Elena, who come to claim some of his wealth.
