"The untold story of the crime Stalin could not hide"
A few months after the Nazi invasion of Poland in 1939, some 15,000 Polish prisoners of war were murdered by the Soviet secret service in a western area of the Soviet Union. The Nazis discovered the mass graves in 1943 during their tour of Russia and immediately pointed to the Soviets, but they blamed the Nazis. The Allies, meanwhile, decided to close their eyes to the whole thing. In particular, the story of this film follows the survivors of the victims' wives and families, who for decades remained in uncertainty about the fate of their loved ones.
