I Piccoli Maestri plot
In the 20 months leading up to Italy's liberation from fascism, a group of young students struggle by moving into the northern Italian mountains, home to many Nazis. Meanwhile, leader Gigi falls in love with Simonetta, a close friend's girlfriend. Their resistance is heavy and takes its toll.
