Grenzeloos Verraad plot
During the Second World War, the Saxon farming family Wesseling provided shelter to several Jewish families. Until one day they are forced to receive a group of German soldiers, led by Ludwig Mengelberg, a traumatized officer. This Ludwig grew up in the Netherlands and is the child of a Dutch mother and a German father.

Because I read that this film was made with an incredibly low budget, I am even more impressed. A film made with passion and a good story about a German officer who fights with himself inside. I'm not going to give too much away but recommend everyone to see this movie. I will definitely see him again.

Although the film may not have the quality of a multi-million dollar production, it is also not fair to expect that from a film with a budget of a few hundred euros at most.
In the film, the roles are mainly played by actors and actresses who make their debut in a real cinema film. The original makers of the film had also never been involved in making a feature film before. Despite the fact that they are professionals, the complete production of a cinema film is different from making a corporate film or a commercial.
Considering what you can normally expect from such a production, Boundless Betrayal is certainly far beyond that level, both in terms of production and acting. Although not all special effects are equally impressive, what the makers show here is great, and I think we can expect even more from them in the future. Especially now that their network within the film industry will have expanded considerably, making larger budgets possible.

I saw the film on Sunday and I was impressed and I only created an account here to comment. I was a soldier myself for 15 years and was very impressed by the battle scenes. Now I know they used pirotechnics and didn't project anything into it like firing blanks with the guns. The battle scenes are very realistic with nothing projected in them and each explosion has its own effect and that's what makes it so good here unlike hollywood movies. This film clearly shows that a war is not black and white and this story fits in every war film. What I found special was that the Germans were real German actors. This movie captivated me for 90 minutes and that's what matters. Considering the budget of the film and the story, I give 4 stars. The Dutch German officer in the movie Ludwig plays very well and shows an inner struggle and is very realistic. I also thought all the actors played well.
