Delusion plot
"She only wanted love. But money's better than nothing."
When the computer company of the hitherto successful businessman George O'Brian runs into trouble, a takeover of the company threatens. Through some tampering with the bookkeeping, he manages to embezzle a whole bunch of dollars. Then he flees to Nevada. On the way, he witnesses an accident and offers those involved a lift. He shouldn't have done that.

A nineties film noir as I expect nineties film noir to be. Great plot, nice femme fatale, nice acting. And then there are the beautiful landscapes of Nevada that add to the sense of existential insignificance of the characters. Perfect ending with These Boots Are Made for Walkin' on the soundtrack.
Director Carl Colpaert of this American thriller is an expatriate Belgian. I didn't know him but apparently he also has a star on the Walk of Fame in Ostend. According to his bio he started as an editor for Roger Corman. Nice to discover him with Delusion and it tastes like more.
