"Who would you stop time for?"
Vera is happily married and mother of a daughter. Her life turns into a nightmare when she sets off a series of chain reactions in an attempt to prevent a crime. She has the ability to save a boy's life, but awakens to a new reality where her daughter doesn't exist and where her husband doesn't even know her. In a race against time, Vera must find a way to get her family back.

I am honestly pleasantly surprised with this last film by Oriol Paulo. Contratiempo was also a bull's eye and I'm also looking forward to El cuerpo. Movies about time rises or butterfly effects are always a certain mind f*ck that you have to pay attention to. Yet I did not find this film particularly complex due to the excellent structure that Paulo uses. I watched it in the original Spanish version anyway, didn't bother me at all. The way in which the butterfly effect is handled by strongly thinking of Back to the future, only it is a bit more serious here. Anyone who thought Frequency was decent will also get their money's worth here.
The film is actually two big plots that are intertwined. On the one hand you have a mysterious covered murder and on the other hand you have Vera's life that is turned upside down because she made a small adjustment in the past. This puts her life in a completely different perspective.
It takes a bit of thought when Nico and Vera meet and reveal the true story of their band. The dilemma at the end was also well put together when Vera is given the choice of which life she wanted to lead. However, I could not place the suicide action itself.

Wonderful movie! Continues to fascinate with its layering. It's amazing how they let this plot unfold. The only thing I didn't fully understand is why that agent, who also turns out to be her partner (and the boy from the past), didn't say anything to her when she came to the office to report the fact that her husband no longer recognizes her and her daughter is missing. What exactly was the purpose of that?
By the way, thought it was a nice detail that there are three storylines/alternative timelines ; with one he comes under the car; in the other she falls dead on a car; and with the last one - which only came about because they wanted to save each other - they actually end up together. Worth checking back later!
