Solid drama about a girl who falls into the hands of a serial killer and rapist, but can still tell the story. Afterwards I read something in the story which is generally followed. McVey doesn't have a pleasant life. Her home situation is hellish and her future is uncertain. In retrospect, her kidnapping was the beginning of her new life.
Very strong performance from the main character. Well acted, well presented. It is still bizarre that she was released because she was not seen as an object and the perpetrator felt remorse for being too empathetic. In addition, her excellent observation skills have put the police on the right track.
Not a top film and fortunately based on true events, because in terms of plot highly bizarre in which a girl puts the police on display. This had almost been an afternoon film on a commercial channel and yet it really appealed to me.

To a true event and yet amazing how the young girl kept her cool during the horrific kidnapping and was able to pass on details to the police.
In addition to the kidnapping, it is also a story of bias in the police services, but also, above all, of parental unworthiness.
The film itself could have been better developed and especially the acting performances were not particularly convincing. The girl did well but the rest lacked some real commitment and credibility.
