You Belong to Me plot

When Alexandra Wyatt faces mysterious and terrifying events, she believes they are the work of her abusive ex-husband, who was recently released from prison. She is concerned for her safety and that of her five-year-old son, and asks the police for protection. Meanwhile, through her successful job at a publishing house, she befriended a handsome young colleague, Michael. When the police determine that her ex-husband has a watertight alibi, she discovers that Michael is now in love with her. She tries to discourage him, but soon notices that he has developed a sickly interest in her. Unable to handle her rejection, he tries to kill her and himself. She survives the attempt, he does not. Her relief does not last long. He returns from the grave to take her back and will not let anything and anyone stop him. Not even her son. Alexandra must find a way to protect herself and her son from his supernatural powers.
