Shah, Perry's humor is just my humor. Sarcastic, with self-mockery and a lot of sharp remarks towards Tony.

Doesn't mean anything else of course, but 3 * can do without it.

Fairly harmless snack, that knows how to entertain just fine everywhere. The script is quite far-fetched, but nevertheless a great platform for a series of characters to do their thing. Perry and his always entertaining cynical tone, our dear Ash as a Texan womanizer, Vincent Pastore in his standard role and a slew of supporting roles and cameos from the likes of Jerry Stiller, Marshall Bell and Mike Judge. In that respect, Serving Sara is not a punishment to watch. Furthermore, the film is colorful, smooth and here and there quite witty. Admittedly, you can see many jokes coming for miles and you can't call the film special anywhere. But you get an hour and a half of pretty decent entertainment in return. Also nice.

3 stars.

Very American. That means that the humor kind is of the bland caliber and that can turn out either good or terrible. There is rarely a middle ground, but Serving Sara knows where to find him. There are horribly bad jokes, but also several moments that made me laugh out loud, which doesn't happen often anymore. Much is due to Matthew Perry, who actually puts down a slightly more rude and confident version of Chandler, but - admittedly - that suits him well. The chemistry with Elizabeth Hurley is not so much on a romantic level, but as a (comedy) duo it works. The film goes hysterically over the top at times and the film is also one that you will forget in the short term, but that doesn't take away from the fact that I had a good time.

3*
