Togo plot
"The untold true story."
Leonhard Seppala is the trainer of the dog Togo in the year 1925. When a diphtheria epidemic threatens to break out in Nome, Alaska, he sets out with Togo to deliver a serum to the area. A striking choice as Togo is considered too small and too weak. During their journey, Seppala and his company must brave the harsh weather conditions.

Good film in which a man and his sled dogs embark on a dangerous journey to collect medicines. A typical true and inspiring story for a Disney film like this where the course is predictable. Man vs nature and the relationship between man and animal. Beautiful images of Canada's wildlife and the race across the ice make for an exciting scene.

The heart of a survivor
A very nice true film where the special effects actually make a contribution. A quintessential Disney about heroism and pushing boundaries in the name of humanity. Willem Dafoe impressive as Norwegian dog breeder with fur collar. Much of the film is told in flashback where an initially unwanted pup who won't let himself be held captive becomes an indispensable lead dog and friend for Seppala. A very exciting and intense scene, also very cleverly done, is this one, in which Seppala and the dogs travel back over breaking ice. . Togo is full of great natural beauty and well-aimed sentiment.

Beautiful movie. Very atmospheric and of course a bit sentimental here and there between people and animals.
But especially the images of the grueling trek through Alaska attracted me
