Disappointing successor to 'Mother, I want to join the revue'. Difficult to say exactly what it is, because in everything it is actually a better series: the relationships between characters are better developed; there is more focus on the zeitgeist and how people interacted with each other; there are more cute characters in main supporting roles.
What it probably does suffer from is that the plot is still just as predictable and unabashedly good as that of its illustrious predecessor. Downsides to that previous series become more apparent when you watch eight new episodes of the sluggish escapism it ultimately is. In addition, the actors and actresses in lead roles are also not nice enough to carry the series in its entirety.
