Last and least season of this mostly great HBO series. Of course, as a producer you can never please everyone, but here many plot lines are unnecessarily rushed and you can question many illogical decisions by several characters. Nevertheless, it is still compelling and very spectacular, with many emotionally striking moments. Not quite the ending I wanted for the series, but overall I'm satisfied.

I'm a bit behind in writing reviews, but Game of Thrones should never be left behind. It's probably one of the few seasons, of any series, that I've been looking forward to so much. It's also the season I've talked about and read the most about with others.
First of all, let me say that I think the reactions to this season are very exaggerated. It certainly isn't worth very high scores and I understand most of the criticism, but it's not that bad. Of course it has mainly to do with the 'trolls' who ensured that the episodes already had a negative IMDb score before they were broadcast. In addition, RR Martin will not write it very differently, but of course in more detail and extensive.
Everyone agrees that the writing is the big downside this season. For the rest, everything is very well put together: the camera work, the acting, the sets, the effects, the music... all of them feature film level. It is only good to notice that some episodes are missing. I think the choices made by the writers are fine, but I would have liked to see how the characters have developed to that moment. It was sort of an overview of the highlights of the characters during this period, but it's the little moments that make Game of Thrones good. The backroom politics, the betrayal, the drunken conversations... it doesn't have to be so bombastic.
