Van Jonge Leu en Oale Groond plot

Father Wildspieker dies and mother Minie is left alone on the farm. After a broken relationship, daughter Fenna decides, at first with appropriate reluctance, to move in with her mother. Fenna discovers why she turned her back on Twente in her youth. Brother Alwie has his own financial problems and the youngest sister Monkie is central among the youth as a sports teacher and football coach. Then there is the Olde Weernink family. Mans and Gait are two contractors and bring about a lot in Dinkelo. The arrival of Amsterdammer and artist Bredero also causes quite a bit of tumult in the Twente country. His adoration for Twente stands in stark contrast to Fenna's aversion.
