Ironside plot

When a hit man's bullet ends up in a wheelchair, Robert T. Ironside is forced to end his career as chief of detectives and becomes a police adviser. Together with Detective Sergeant Ed Brown and Policewoman Eve Whitfield, he tries to solve all kinds of fascinating cases. Former inmate Mark Sanger is employed by Robert as a home helper, but eventually also becomes a full member of the team. Eve Whitfield leaves after several years of loyal service and is then replaced by Officer Fran Belding.
