Het Zonnetje in Huis plot

The story begins at the funeral of Agneta Bovenkerk, the wife of widower Piet Bovenkerk. Afterwards, his son Erik and daughter-in-law Catharina come home and receive an unexpected visit from the old Bovenkerk. He wants to move in with them now that his wife is dead. Neither of them are happy about that, especially Cath. Piet is a big whiner who is only a burden to her. She's been trying to get him out of the house from day one. Of course that never works. In addition, the old Piet Bovenkerk causes a lot of misery, misery that is laughable for the viewers at home.
