La Casa de Papel season 1

Indeed. I think it's a two-faced series. A large part of the middle section is about all kinds of relationships between the hostages and hostage takers, with each other and with each other. Takes a lot of time and is not very interesting. Especially the madness between the director and that blonde girl, and later when she's with Denver. A bit of overacting too, which I often see in Spanish films.

But.. the beginning and especially the last part of the series please me much more. It revolves around the plan and The Professor. Very good and exciting in its time. Sometimes far-fetched or unbelievable (like the Russian who can just quickly delete the composite drawing), but it's cool to see how the plan unfolds and how many details/scenarios are taken into account held.

The last episode (including the mother of the negotiator) and especially the slowly emerging ending music are really fantastic... Bella Ciao

La Casa de Papel season 1

After being in my list on Netflix for a long time, I have finally started this series. I really like it, have now seen 4 episodes and will definitely see the rest of it. The story is beautifully told and the fact that it is not an American series is sometimes nice.

La Casa de Papel season 2

While season 1 is still fairly exciting and interesting, this season largely felt like a milking out. Could barely keep my attention.

La Casa de Papel season 3

After the second season all lines were finished, so this third season was not really necessary for me. Anyway, it was of course a fat cow, from which milk can still be squeezed, so it is understandable that they have also produced this season.

Exit Berlin of course, who does come back in flashbacks, which is a shame, because he was my favorite character of the previous two seasons because of his sarcasm and lightheartedness in crisis situations. His replacement is very cynical, but not really funny, so that's a setback.

Also nice ideas here, but it still feels very much like a rehearsal, and there are also some unbelievable events here (such as buying a lot of Pakistanis who do crack the security of a NATO partner's army) . And here, too, the hostage takers never really become dangerous. Lots of barking dogs, but little or no biting. Every moment you let the series make you think that the hostage takers could kill someone, in the end nothing happens or the victim can be patched up again. The biggest bright spot is that lady in government service who is clearly a worthy opponent of the professor. I would have loved to have seen that in previous seasons. 2*.
