Slightly less fascinating than the first series, mainly because the murder case this time is rather far-fetched and not so intriguing. In addition, some plot developments seem artificial. Fortunately, Bill Pullman is back to support the whole in an appropriate way. His beautifully developed character remains the main reason to see this series.

Hm better than season 1 which I found overhyped and especially illogical at the time. There is a nice and quiet atmosphere (again) in this second season, with nice details such as the monotonous, low sound of the therapeutic instrument that simultaneously serves as an uncanny soundtrack/score.
The series starts off strong and mysterious, but towards the end it got really messy with [i] 'he's my kid', 'no my kid!', 'no I'm taking him!!'[/i ]; clear that women are involved in important positions in production . I also think the fact that just about every character was involved in the case is too much of a good thing. Nevertheless, The Sinner remains an atmospheric series.

Enjoyed this season again. The first season came out of nowhere for me and I started watching it every week. I had a little more patience with this season and actually only watched it months after it was put on Netflix.
I thought the second season was about the same level as the first part, maybe even slightly better. Pullman once again plays a strong character. As mentioned above, his charisma plays an important role. The character is never annoying. The supporting characters are also good. Elisha Henig's acting isn't entirely believable yet, but he does have something mysterious about this series which is only good. Hannah Gross is also a nice actress.
I always find cults an interesting element in these kinds of stories, so I really liked the setting in this part in that regard. The only downside for me is the denouement. I also read it somewhere above, but l literally every character is involved in the murders. I therefore thought it was a shame that a sympathetic character like Jack is ultimately the culprit. Wasn't necessary for me.
