Functions vested in Ministers of the Crown were, in relation to Wales, transferred to the National Assembly for Wales by the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/672). Section 48 was amended by paragraph 21 of Schedule 5 to the Food Standards Act 1999 (c. 28).By virtue of the European Communities (Designation) (No.3) Order 1999 (S.I. No. 1999/2788).1972 c.68.
