Emmerdale viewers were left smitten as Kim Tate debuted a fresh look on the popular ITV soap.

Kim, portrayed by Claire King, has been a fixture in the soap since 1989. As the village's femme fatale, she's been at the heart of numerous major storylines. From her countless feuds in the Dales to staging her own demise, Kim's tenure on the show has been anything but dull.

Her romantic escapades have also made headlines - from her scandalous affair and subsequent marriage to Frank Tate (Norman Bowler) to her recent dalliance with Will Taylor (Dean Andrews), her love life has often been the subject of village gossip.

Sadly, Kim was left devastated at Christmas when her husband Will passed away. Fans will remember that their relationship had its ups and downs throughout the previous year, reports Leicestershire Live.

In other news, Kim's step-grandson Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) recently made a surprise return. His sudden appearance raised Kim's suspicions about his true motives - and she was spot on.

It has since come to light that Joe is grappling with chronic kidney disease and faces a bleak future without a transplant.

In league with the unscrupulous Dr Crowley (James Hillier), Joe is scheming to coerce his blood relative, his uncle Caleb (William Ash), into giving up his kidney.

Adding to the drama, Joe has embarked on an affair with Kim's step-daughter Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley), much to Kim's dismay.

A third chimed in: "She looked amazing, I definitely want that haircut." Another admirer added: "Looked really nice , made her look younger."
