Emmerdale might have just dropped a major clue regarding the mystery surrounding April Windsor's pregnancy.
In a dramatic turn of events, April was confronted about the boy who fathered her child months ago during Friday's (March 28) episode.
It was back in December when she made a hasty exit from him, and only later did viewers discover the reason for her departure: she was pregnant and too frightened to confide in anyone.
Tragically, April endured a stillbirth, losing her baby daughter. The identity of the baby's father has remained a secret, but the latest instalment of the ITV drama could have subtly pointed to who he is.
During a social gathering at her friend Arthur Thomas' house, surrounded by other teens, a character named Ben unexpectedly quizzed April about whether she still saw her baby's dad, causing a stir among the group.
Clearly upset by the question, April denied any contact with him and quickly left the scene. However, it was the reaction of another character that might have given away more than intended, reports the Mirror.
As Ben probed, "Do you still see the baby's dad? You know the one..." April sharply retorted, "Yeah I'm familiar with the one, and no I don't."
At that moment, the camera shifted focus to Kai, another teen present, who appeared not just uncomfortable but visibly distressed, raising suspicions that he could be the father.
While it could have been mere concern for April being put on the spot, the camera's deliberate pan to Kai during the mention of the baby's father was telling. He even sought out April afterwards for a private word in the kitchen.
He insisted on checking up on her, noting she shouldn't be alone in the kitchen, to which she implied she was waiting for him to join her. He didn't agree and quickly started questioning her about various things.
Kai assured her that no one was judging her for her past experiences, but as he continued to probe, she asked him to stop, "offering him a reward" for his silence. Later on, Marlon Dingle arrived at the house, enquiring about April's location.
The scene shifted to show Arthur and the others looking visibly distressed and uncomfortable, while Ben couldn't help but smirk when Marlon pressed Arthur about his daughter's whereabouts.
At that moment, April and Kai emerged from upstairs, with April clearly embarrassed and hastily exiting the home.
The implication was clear that the two may have been intimate, leaving Marlon incensed at the thought of his daughter having sex in their friend's house.
But the question remains: could the interactions with Kai hint that he is the father of the baby, especially since fans are skeptical about April's claim that it was "some random" from a party whose name she didn't know?
Taking to social media, one person said: "That lad April was speaking to is the father of April's baby mark my words." Another added: "I said that." A third person said: "I was thinking the same."
