PTH is my favorite pop punk band

Fellow Protest fans, do yourselves a favor and revisit Pacific Myth. I was listening to a lot of different shit at the time that it came out and I didn’t give it the attention it deserves, especially since in my head it was “just an EP”. It’s some of their finest work.

Why does every single metal band created after the year 2000 have the "metalcore" tag on this site? Even 'pure' death metal bands have it. Not everything is metalcore

my first exposure to this band was when they were touring with coheed and cambria. now i'm seeing both bands (albeit separately) this fall after a long time. so excited!

for some reason the first few listens didn't hit me but holy cat piss palimpsest is so good

Gift Horse is up there quality-wise but I can see why it's a b-side, idk where they possibly could've fit it in without disrupting the flow of the album

Girls absolutely LOVE it when there's a new PTH EP

I was a little bit nervous about the new album but it turned out to be one of their best! This will definitely be high on my Top 10 list this year!

Seems like Palimpsest is the only album I listen to this summer.

Literally every song on the new album has both crazy good hooks and stellar riffs. They nailed it.

Yeah, the new album is really nice. I don't think it will be my fav PTH's album eventually but it is still a very solid record. I like it that they continue broaden their horizons, with each album having something truly new.

Didn't really click with the singles, but in the context of the whole new album everything sounds really solid. The uplifting sound is growing on me - feels like a good extension of the later parts of Volition.
