i think i get what you mean but could you elaborate? i do agree that there's a different vibe to the album that i really enjoy. idk if this is gonna make sense but with previous albums i got this desolate/bleak feeling whereas this one kind of feels more full and emotional?? listening to smoke, frayed and basement really felt gut wrenching to me personally.

i think you're describing it better than i could. Less of that ethereal background and a more visceral sound makes for a record that really stands out.
