Search the Coast Near the Kishi Grasslands

With strawhat mercenaries seen in the area, head to the large burning tree in the middle of the grassland field and examine the body that is found next to the burning cart below the tree.

Follow the Trail of dead Mongols

Follow the trail of dead Mongols and examine the straw hat that is found on the sand near the beach.

Defeat the Mongol Ambush

After the cutscene, you will be ambushed by a group of Mongols. During the encounter you’ll need to defeat several Archers, Swordsmen, Shieldmen, and Brutes.

Due to the different types of Mongols that you face during this battle, it’s important that you keep your distance and constantly move around the area to avoid being caught off guard by incoming attacks.

It's also worth noting that you'll want to switch between your different combat stances, as they will greatly benefit you as you engage in battle.

Travel with Ryuzo to his Straw Hat Camp

After defeating the Mongols, mount your horse and follow Ryuzo to his camp.

Search the Ruined Cart

A short distance away, search the ruined wagon that is found on the side of the road.

With nothing to be salvaged, speak with the peasant that comes running for help.

Follow Ryuzo

With Mongols leaving a path of destruction, continue following Ryuzo to his camp.

Walk with Ryuzo

Walk with Ryuzo up the hill and squeeze through the gap in the rock wall.

In order to fit the part, pick up the Ronin armor that can be found in the nearby chest.
