France Avenue bridge replacement
Hennepin County is replacing the France Avenue bridge (County Road 17) over Nine Mile Creek in Bloomington, about a half mile south of 90th Street.

We’re replacing the aging France Avenue bridge over Nine Mile Creek and adding improvements for better safety and drainage. This summer we will:
- Remove the current box culvert bridge and install a new one
- Add two overflow culverts—one on the north and on the south—to better manage high water events and minimize water over the road
- Pave the new bridge and approximately 200 feet on each direction
- Install new guardrails for improved safety
