Girls' Day and Doll Festival - Beautiful scene of a beauty in an upper-class home preparing for Girls' Day and the Doll Festival. Traditionally, Girls' Day involved praying for the health and happiness of daughters as well as the display of dolls at the homes of Japanese girls. The woman carefully arranges a small doll for display, another sitting atop a small wooden chest behind her. A tray nearby holds offerings. A charming design, detailed with embossing on the white kimono collar and trim, and burnishing on the hair and black lacquer objects.

Condition - Nice color and good detail. A few holes, repaired. Folds at corners, creasing at edges, a few small indents.
