Series; Snow, Moon, and Flowers
Moon, 1853 - Charming portrait of a beauty smiling shyly as she tilts her head down, holding one sleeve to her chest. Her kimono is shaded from gray to light green, with a goose flying past a full moon over her shoulder and autumn grasses along the hem, worn over a red under robe and tied with a furry orange obi. She stands by the water's edge, trees lining the opposite shore with a bridge at right. Nicely detailed with soft shading on the water and sky.
Artist - Kuniyoshi (1797 - 1861)
Image Size - 14 1/8" x 9 5/8" + margin as shown
Condition - Good detail. Vertical wrinkles, a few small repairs and creases.
