  • Harnessing migrants' skills in the EU
    -

    The European Migration Forum – the dialogue platform on migration, asylum and migrant integration - will meet for the tenth time on 27-28 November 2025.

    Participation in the Forum meeting is by invitation only - the call for interested organisations is civil society organisations is now closed.

  • The sixth EESC FRRL Group's annual conference will provide a platform for debate of the annual EC rule of law report, as well as of the recent country visits carried out by the FRRL Group.

    EESC Members, civil society representatives (including social partners), EU institutions and other stakeholders will discuss the main recent developments in the EU in the area of fundamental rights and the rule of law, as well as the EU response notably through the rule of law review mechanism.

  • Jointly organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (DG EMPL) and the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), this conference will be an opportunity to take note of and discuss key insights from DG EMPL’s two flagship reports: Employment and Social Developments in Europe (ESDE 2025), and Labour Market and Wage Developments in Europe (LMWD 2025, forthcoming).

    The event will bring together stakeholders from EU and national institutions, social partners, civil society organisations and academia, to exchange their views on crucial questions related to:

    - how to unlock the potential of people that are underrepresented in the labour market (ESDE 2025 - discussed in session 1 – 14:30 – 15:45);

    - how to promote quality jobs, including fair wages, and a competitive economy (LMWD 2025 – discussed in session 2 – 16:15 – 17:30).

  • Ensuring Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in the EU

    The EESC's Permanent Group on disability Rights is organising a hybrid public hearing on "Accessible and Affordable Housing for All: Ensuring Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in the EU " on 15 September 2025 from 10 am to 1 pm.

    This event will feature insights from EU institutions, showcase good practices at the local level, and highlight recommendations from civil society and disability organisations.

    The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the Danish Society of Engineers (IDA) are organising under the auspices of the Danish Presidency of the EU Council a conference entitled "AI Implications on European Union Civil Society: Perspectives from Denmark".

    The 11th EU-Korea Civil Society Forum (CSF) and Workshop took place on 8–9 September 2025 in Brussels. The event opened with a discussion on the benefits of social dialogue in the context of amplified trade diversification.

    On 8 September 2025 (14:30-18:00), the NAT section of the EESC will host its end of mandate debate with the aim of addressing some of the crucial and systemic questions raised by the new geopolitical order from the point of view of civil society, and to chart possible pathways for the future.
