A DC Comics villain will be targeting Supergirl when she takes flight on CBS this fall.

EW has learned that Chris Browning (Sons of Anarchy, The 100) has been tapped to play Ben Krull, aka Reactron, a deadly adversary of Superman’s from Metropolis, who wears an armored suit powered by nuclear energy.

Supergirl stars Glee alum Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El, who escaped Krypton amid its destruction years ago. Since arriving on Earth, she’s been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin. But now, at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.

Unfortunately, being the cousin of the Man of Steel comes with its drawbacks. Since Krull has never been able to defeat his rival, he’ll venture to National City to get revenge on Superman by trying to kill Supergirl.

Browning is slated to appear in the show’s third episode, though he has the potential to recur. His casting comes on the heels of Supergirl adding Nurse Jackie alum Peter Facinelli as DC Comics character Maxwell Lord. Get the scoop on that here.

Supergirl premieres Monday, Oct. 26 at 8:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
