Sunday's weather will bring storms to NYC and surrounding areas
We have a First Alert Weather Day coming our way, starting Sunday afternoon.
But before we get to it, there's Friday and Saturday to consider.
After a cloudy start, sunshine returns Friday afternoon. Temperatures will warm into the 50s, so get outside and enjoy.
Clouds will make a comeback Friday night, and with the atmosphere extra moist, fog will likely develop.
Saturday will get off to a rather damp and grey start, with lingering low clouds and fog. Temperature-wise, we'll likely get stuck in the low to mid 50s, at best.
Looking ahead to Sunday, showers and thunderstorms will likely develop later in the afternoon and at night. And given the ingredients in place, we may even see a few severe thunderstorms. That's why a First Alert Weather Day has been issued for late Sunday into early Monday.
As luck would have it, the models are trending drier for the parade on St. Patrick's Day, so there is some hope after all.
